For everyone one teenager I see another one has a pair of white ear buds jammed in their ears. I can’t help it. I find it disrespectful to those there with, especially if it’s family. If it were my kids, they’d get a slapping. Fortunately, I don’t own any, kids that is. More importantly, though, is that these kids are probably destroying their hearing.

Purebuds, from Amazing Tech Products, claims that they’ve designed a pair of ear buds that will save your ears by not directly shooting the sound directly into the ear canals, something they call ‘reverse sound technology’. The Purebuds come with three attachments to enhance your music: Surround Sound, Bass Boost and Full Range.

How do they sound? I have no clue. How exactly do they work? I’m not sure. But some empirical evidence could have these things flying off the store shelves this holiday season.

The Purebuds retail for $50 a pop and are available at the company’s website.

USA Today’s tech journalist Ed Baig (one of three journalists Steve Jobs picked by hand for the first time Apple iPhone 3G) and the circular-Good Guy and I have a Usually meetings around dates iPhone. Last year, I saw an event shortly after he received the first iPhone. He was kind enough to me spend 10 minutes with him. This year I am still in him, and that our own 3G services still happen, I shook him mainly on the head, until the new phone fell from his pocket.

Okay, that’s an exaggeration. Baig did hand it over after some gently nudging.

Head-on, the iPhone 3G is exactly the same as the old iPhone. I realized, which are more integrated headphone socket and chromium-captain was still a little for the face seems more (if both phones are the same height and width) The great (and for some, I think that this is really great) Is the difference. This makes it much more verneigte black plastic, the phone is a little thicker than the iPhone 1.0 and should significantly improve the quality, feels remarkably different from the first iPhone ‘s polished aluminum.

The room Ed and I were in was busy and warm, and I noticed that my slightly sweaty palms made the phone back feel sort of sweaty too. It also made it sit more securely in my hand. Still, with the two phones side-by-side, I noticed that the aluminum back on the first iPhone still felt silky smooth in my other hand.

A minor point, I’m sure. On the other hand, the iPhone’s cherished sexiness may have taken a bit of a hit. This iPhone feels a bit more like other phones you might hold and, with that slightly sticky feel on sweaty hands, reminds you that you’re just some guy holding a new Apple iPhone 3G in an over-crowded room.

iPhone 3G is one of the gadgets most frequently discussed on the Internet. And after Apple ‘s World Wide Developers Conference that was held in San Francisco in June, we further speculation on this subject. Amended iPhone is announced diskrepant offers the feeling and you can not ask a few questions in connection with its updated. But we believe that there is no gadget upward trend ‘s prices.

Steve Jobs introduces new iPhone 3G About Apple iPhone ‘price based on Shaw Wu ‘ s words. The American Technology Research analyst told the conference that the integrated virtual keyboard, for example, is only one way to lower prices and other suspected yet. He also mentioned Apple ‘thrust to focus on the resellers iPhone even more accessible to the entire planet. IPhone Apple has sold the sum of 5.4 million, which is not too global market for mobile phones, is why they didn ‘t delay the figure of ; long-term business (new iPhone 3G is already in Europe, North America, South America and partly in most other major markets). Another lure for customers is a mobile phone free for most “talkative ” users. If your rates are higher per month for 75 pounds, you’re here to get a free phone.

How all the introduced modifications will work together, we will find out later, when more gadget lovers examine 3G in everyday use. And while they do, let us get back to some kind of wishlist for previous iPhone 3G:

* More operator networks available
* Better camera and accustomed video recording mods, video calling option
* Synchronized Bluetooth

Everyone, including my friend‘s main complaint about the iPhone is the lifespan of the battery. It’s far too short. I’ve conditioned by the principles of charging my iPhone as much as possible in order not to juice if I’m away from home. To circumvent this problem, the source iPhone Juice Pack Mophie.

Mophie is known for most it’s many cases, iPhone and iPod, but should now known for it’s iPhone Extender battery excellent. Not only do they meet their goal, as an external battery for your source of iPhone, but it is also a wireless charger. I’ll explain.

How does it work?

Quite simply the Mophie Juice external battery pack is a lithium-polymer batteries, fits comfortably in your iPhone, because it enrichment. The best aspect of juice Pack lies in the fact that everywhere, your iPhone. No son. All you have to do is Juice Pack charged before you go.

There are four lights on the back of the package means that the juice is much left. For a death iPhone, it is just the juice Pack for a full recharge. That’s in order. You can also use the phone if the juice Pack is attached to this report. I think it is actually faster than the cost of a wall charger. It’s his grandmother device for your car or your bag when you’re on the road. Here’s, which provides Web site:

Standby Time – Up to 250 hours

Audio Playback – Up to 24 hours

Talk Time – Up to 8 hours

Video Playback – Up to 7 hours

Internet Use – Up to 6 hours

How Does It Feel?

A little heavy actually. Ergonomically speaking, it feels very smooth and flush with the iPhone attached, but it feels a little clunky hanging out in your pocket for hours on end. I like letting mine do it’s charge thing and then removing it. Though when in dire need, using the phone when attached while it charges is not uncomfortable at all.

Is it worthy buying?

At $99, it might have to be more than an impulse buy, but in my opinion it’s totally worth it due to the fact that it’s gonna cost around $86 to get the battery replaced in the iPhone, which is weak. Furthermore, replacing (or even charging) the battery will take the iPhone away from you, where as the Juice Pack lets you spend more time with your phone. The Mophia Juice Pack looks nice, feels great, and performs it’s primary function flawlessly. Go buy it.

Let’s face the facts – the iPod doesn’t exactly come with the largest display in the world now, does it? Being a portable media player to boot, screen real estate is a very important criteria to consider if you plan to watch countless hours of video on it.

This is the portable DVD player that integrates with 5th Generation video iPods, allowing you to watch iPod videos on a 8 1/2?, 16:9 widescreen LCD that is 2 3/4 times larger than the iPods screen. Using active matrix technology, the LCD can redraw images faster than typical LCD monitors, resulting in a sharper, more detailed resolution. An iPod slides into the front of the video player and is protected by a clear plastic cover, and the dual headphone jacks allow two people to use the video player without disturbing fellow travelers. The device has an AV port for output to a television, charges an iPod while in use, and has an on-screen menu display for quick set up. Rechargeable battery allows three hours of continuous DVD playback on a five-hour charge; four hours of iPod® video playback. Includes AC and DC adapters, carrying case, headphones, remote control, and a strap for attaching to a car headrest. Supports DVD, VCD, CDs, MP3 CDs, and iPod® video/music files.

Hammacher is currently carrying this item for $269.95.

Getting up in the mornings can be a dread, and over here at Coolest Gadgets we have seen more than our fair share of alarm clocks to help force you out of bed. Memorex wants to take the diplomatic route with the iWake clock radio which features an iPod dock, ensuring you will be able to wake up to your favorite band or singer without sending a shock or forcing you to chase after it like a madman.

The iWake clock radio is now available in blue, purple and red metallic finishes in addition to sleek black and bright white to help spruce up your dreary looking bedroom in the process. More on the Memorex iWake clock radio’s specifications and features are available right after the jump.

Of course, if you’re sick and tired of all the tunes on your iPod at this point in time (something I find impossible to happen considering the amount of tunes you will be able to store on a 160GB hard drive), there is always the option to rock on with the built-in AM/FM radio. Other features include a white backlit LCD display, a snooze function, a wireless remote control, and a universal dock that is compatible with virtually all iPod devices. As with other iPod docks or devices of a similar nature, the Memorex iWake also doubles up as a charging unit for your iPod, ensuring you will be able to leave for work with a fully-charged iPod, ready to meet the challenges of the day ahead.

The iWake Clock Radio for the iPod has been shipped to Target stores across the US, retailing for $79.99 a pop regardless of its color scheme. Well, what are you waiting for? At that price point and variety of colors, it definitely sounds like a great bargain.

I’ll admit to being skeptical about the whole portable video concept. It’s a matter of fitting it into my life – music I can listen to pretty much anywhere, but to make use of portable video you have to be not driving, cycling, walking down the street, or operating any machinery. Which pretty much rules out most of my days!

Having just said that I spent last week commuting via train which left me with long gaps in the day to fill, so I got to spend some quality time with the MyVu personal media viewer. Follow the jump to find out how I got on…

To get the technical specs out of the way first, the MyVu glasses house a pair of QVGA resolution LCD screens and some earbuds, in a design eerily reminiscent of a certain star trek fashion accessory. You also get a remote control pendant for power / brightness and contrast adjustment.

The unit operates from a built in rechargeable battery integrated into the remote control pendant. They claim a runtime of about 4 hours out of a fully charged battery and certainly charging it every night made it last through the day for me. Charging is via USB.

MyVu claim that the lightweight design leaves you aware of your surroundings. And they’re right, sort of. When you’re wearing them you only have to glance down to see what’s going on around you. Handy for catching the drinks trolly on the plane, but walking around the street will take practice. I don’t recommend it…

The MyVu glasses come in different versions – I was reviewing the “Universal” edition, compatible with 5G iPod video and Archos media players amongst others.

In the box you get cables to connect to various devices, a USB cable for charging and various sizes of earbuds and nose pieces to ensure a comfortable fit. You also get a soft pouch to store the glasses in.

So specs and presentation are all good. But how well do they work?

Surprisingly well is the answer. Picture quality is good but the big factor for me is the ergonomics of having a screen in front of your eyes all the time. I’ll be the first to admit that the screen on the iPod is pretty good, and the ones on the Archos devices are even better – but have you ever sat there for an hour and watched them? You basically have to hold the thing in front of you, angling it to bounce the ambient light away, then maintain that position for an hour. Really not that useful.

When you wear the screen though it’s a different story – you can just sit back into the chair and stare at the ceiling letting the image wash over you. It’s a much more immersive environment. The MyVu is light enough that it can sit on your head for an hour without feeling heavy and taking the glasses off to return to reality is quite a jolt!

On the audio side the earbuds are of the sound isolating variety so they block out a fair chunk of the ambient noise. You can still hear external announcements, just, but you don’t have to crank the volume all the way up to hear the content. Sound quality is very good too.

A surprise bonus (as verified by the passenger I sat next to) is that no sound leaks out of the earbuds to annoy anybody around you either.

It’s not all good news though – there are a couple of points potential buyers need to be aware of. Whether these matter to you depends on your personal priorities:

- The displays aren’t widescreen and the player has to be configured for 4:3 mode to match the screen. This means you may miss some of the picture, depending on how your player handles the 4:3 conversion. The iPod chops the side of the image – I got used to it but it’s annoying at first.

- The view at first seems relatively small. It’s basically the same as looking at the native iPod screen. Granted there is a practical limit to how large 320×240 will go before it becomes unwatchable so perhaps this is unavoidable but it would be nice if it was a bit bigger.

- There is no focus adjustment on the MyVu so If you wear spectacles you might need special clip on lenses. I say “might” because I do wear them but my prescription is relatively weak and I could get by without the extra lenses. The clip on lenses are available as a separate accessory.

All in all I enjoyed using the MyVu. I found it especially useful for using otherwise dead commuter time to catch up with video podcasts that I’d otherwise miss.

In an ideal world I’d like to see widescreen compatibility, a slightly larger perceived viewing size and some eyepiece adjustment but for $200 I don’t think I can complain.
